It's not every day you get to do your washing as a unicorn! But that's exactly what Alex got to do on the day of the week that is usually reserved for all those boring household chores, Sunday. But it's so much more fun when you're a sparkly, glamourous unicorn, as she found out - thanks to the generosity of 6 year old Ava, her best friend, Carolyn's little girl, who went all the way down to St George's Hall on Nov 1st to deliver this costume for the campaign in person! This was a definite favourite of Alex's.Day 9: Laa Laa the Teletubby
After nearly 20 years away from our screens, The Teletubbies returned to CBeebies on Monday - so Alex marked this occasion by dressing as her favourite teletubby, Laa Laa! It was perfect for the cold weather, as she sat snug at her desk all day - though the belly did mean she had to stretch a little to reach her keyboard...Day 10: Hey Bert, it's Ernie!
Tuesday was Sesame Street Day around the world, and so Alex joined in the celebrations by dressing as Ernie - with her little mini Bert donated by her key wardrobe assistant, her 9 year old nephew, Mason. We liked this one so much - especially when she had to take a meeting with fellow Content team member, Sam! - that we've even decided to keep the Yoma Street sign in our new break area! 'Can you tell us how to get, how to get to Yoma Street..'Day 11: Lucha Libre wrestler!!
Day 12: Breakfast at Yoma, with Audrey Hepburn
Who says you can too over-dressed for work?! In full length gown and dress gloves, Alex became her idol, Audrey Hepburn for Thursday's outfit. It was inspired by her boyfriend's nan, Betty who let Alex borrow her jewellery for her costume and as such, let her live a life-long dream of being the elegant style icon for the day! She even went in costume to celebrate sister in law, Angie's birthday with a good old chippy tea! She has always loved Audrey, ever since her mum introduced her to the actress and bought Alex Audrey's biography when she was 16. Alex says that more than just her beauty and elegance, she admired her compassion and charity work she did for UNICEF. Her favourite poem is said to be by Sam Levenson, 'Time Tested Beauty Tips' and Alex says the words are something everyone can take throughout their lives, we think it's beautiful:Time Tested Beauty Tips

We thought this week deserved an addition of a special mention for Betty (as mentioned above!) for this beautiful scarf she crocheted at great speed in time for Alex for Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month, and which she has wore every day throughout the month with pride. It doesn't get more special than this thoughtful gift - it was made with some love and thoughtfulness, we all want one in the Yoma office, please Betty!! Lots of Yoma hugs!
